is there anyway i can import an mp3 song to fruity loops to tweak with it? i really want to make the song blueberry hill by fats domino into a cool hip hop song. i would prefer no midi files if i can. any help would be much appreciated. and if not, if there is any other program i can use to slice the song and cut it i would be very happy if you could tell me.

What is the differents between Fl Studio Producer and Fl Studio Fruity Edition?

Producer edition has audio recording (like if you wanted to record vocals) fruity edition does not. You are better off just getting fruity edition, then downloading audacity (which is free) to record vocals, Then you can import your vocals into fl studio. I have producer edition and never record vocals in fl studio, its just easier in other programs anyways, so I wish I never bought producer edition, but then again you may be better off getting producer edition because you have lifetime free updates with all fl studio packages, and if they introduce new things in the future only for people who have producer edition, you might wish you had gotten it.

Press F7 when you have the instrument selected that you want. You select the instrument in the channel window (step sequencer or F6). After opening the piano roll for your instrument, draw away, just remember that you need to either be in pattern mode or place patterns on the playlist in song mode to hear anything.

go the c:programfilesImageLineFL Studio.... find the folder "user", go to "patches" > "samples" create a new folder for these specific type of samples, open FL Studio, open the folder "user" on the left side of your screen and there you'll find your newly created folder with the samples in it. Other option: drag the files directly into the playlist editor (bottom part).
