I need a floor tom and was wondering how much I should expect to pay for one.
There are some at a couple of antique stores where I live, but everything there is way overpriced. Besides the drums they have there aren't antiques. They're Tama's from a few years ago.
I'm looking for a good one to take on the road, not anything vintage or high end.

While it's debatable if it raises your IQ or not, it does allow you to 'think in stereo' so to speak.
A lot of languages have identical meanings and structures, and if you branch out and understand them from multiple perspectives, you'll understand your initial language more. This is especially true for any of the romance languages.
There's a lot of Spanish in Italian, and vise verse but they are quite different as well. Much of the vocab sounds alike with subtle differences. Some claim that learning Italian and Spanish as second and third languages is hard due to confusion between the two.
From being English-speaking at birth, to learning Japanese I figure that no language is 'hard', just different, and how you adapt to that determines how you'll succeed in learning it. As for learning Italian, finding a good class or self-study with elementary Italian language books would be a good start! Try Google and get some information on it.
