Vhs Conversion
Is it worth buying a VHS converter?
I am thinking about going ahead and spending the money on buying a VHS converter so I can make some extra money converting VHS tapes to DVDs for people. I know that most people, or companies for that matter, charge about $20 on average per a conversion. I was wondering if spending all that money is worth it and if I will make a lot of money.

A cheaper alternative (if you have a computer that burns DVD's) is to buy a converter (cheap side $40) and run the vcr through the computer, download the video and edit and burn to a DVD. This way you can spice up the DVD by adding menus, etc.
If you want to buy the converter you are speaking of keep in mind how many dvd's you'd need to burn to break even (excluding your time). By now a lot of people who want vhs tapes onto dvd's have already done so so I doubt there is that big of a market for it.
