Guitar Usb How do i fix the Guitar Hero 2 usb cable?
I have a broken X-plorer Guitar Hero Guitar for Xbox 360. The USB cable seems to be broken. The controller isn't turning on when plugged in to the Xbox. How would i be able to fix this?
Thanks for any help.
I have checked to see if the thing at the end of the wire was the problem. Its not. Also my warranty is definitely voided.
Well, it's kind of hard to diagnose the problem without seeing the USB connector. The prong inside it might be bent.
Otherwise, there's a connector about 5 inches from the USB. It connects the usb connector to the rest of the cable and the guitar. Check to see if this is fully connected.
That happened with me; I felt like an idiot after yelling at everyone about it. Lol.
If you've done all this and it's still not working, and you haven't done anything to physically break it, like drop it or otherwise harm it, see if your warantee is still valid, and call the manufacturer to see if you might be able to get a replacement.
can someone give me some advice on a good usb interface for guitar?
i've been looking for a good usb-to-guitar interface and i've read some reviews that say some are good and awful...can someone please give me some advice on a brand to buy? or a type? cause i cant afford studio time at the moment and wanna do things cheap and from my laptop. i just need something thats reliable and something that isnt professional. just something within $100 and is just something to work with until i do get studio time, thanks
I just bought the Rode Procaster Dynamic Microphone. It's supposed to be a very professional broadcast microphone, a really good one. But I am getting a hissing noise and I'm not sure why. I am using it with my computer and since it is XLR I had to buy the MXL MicMate which is a XLR to USB converter that provides phantom power for condenser mics. I used that with my old condenser mic and there was no hissing noise. And I'm wondering if the hissing noise is coming from the un-needed phantom power. There is no switch to turn the phantom power off. Again the mic I have is a dynamic and does not need phantom power. I am planning on buying a small USB interface mixer so I can use that instead of the MXL MicMate because it has the option to turn off phantom power. Is there other reasons for the hissing noise? I don't think it's the XLR cable because I had no problems with my old MXl 990 condenser mic. I spent a lot on the Rode Procaster mic and I don't want it to go to waste.
To be honest, the Procaster is not that great a microphone, and phantom power isn't causing the hiss.
You're correct in that it's not the cable. Try turning the gain down on your sound card...Dynamics put out levels higher than condensers (usually).
The Electro Voice RE-27 is a far better mic.

Wierd World of Warcraft Lag Problem?
Recently, i bought my own computer to play WoW on and have it in my room. Since my modem is far away from my room, i had to buy a wireless router (Netgear) and a USB Wifi Adapter (Belkin), recently, the internet has been running great! The signal 90% of the time is excellent. I can raid BH10 with no lag (ms) problems at all. But yesturday was wierd....... I joined a BoT Trash farming group, (10man), and i was lagging like crazy! I would go to cast an ability, and it wouldnt do it until like 5 seconds after i clicked it! the lagg was so bad i couldnt CC, so i had to leave. when i checked, my ms was 2000 (world) and 500 (home). Why is it all of a sudden gone so laggy? why wasnt BH10 like this? NO, my internet was not capped, and no downloads where happening, and there were no interferances, like shut doors, etc. and it was just so laggy in BoT! Why is this? please help
Well i can tell you quite clearly that it has nothing to do with the modem.
The reason why however was maybe due to high amounts of people around you.
Just make sure your not by too many people or it will overload
