Guitar Tube Amp Modeling with Mac ProTools LE and Studio Devil Plug-ins
which guitar amp can suit my needs?
i know there are really good amps out there,
but i just want a tube amp that isn't a modeling amp.
like i dont want it to sound like another amp.
im looking for a one of a kind amp. With its own unique tube tone.
I'm sponsored by krank, but theyre catching on pretty fast, so i guess that's not too unique
well, orange's are kinda going out of fashion so you can look into one of those. Budda is also another one that i don't see anyone using anymore. By the way, the guy who suggested the cube 30, that's a modeling amp. What's your budget? That really affects the choice. For example, even though theyre kind of catching on now, I often use a bogner uberschall. New, they cost like 2600 or something but mine was 1800. They get a super mean sound, but also have an excellent clean channel. You can also look into building your own amp, which will definitely sound unique. You can get a kit or just go from scratch. i really like to play my fender rocpro, which is definitely an amp that pretty much nobody has. It's a hybrid from like the 90s or something but i like it better than pretty much any tube amp, and its the most reliable amp i've ever played despite being more than a decade old.
roccaforte also makes really unique sounding tube amps, great for alternative rock.
a few more:
i haven't seen a lot of laney's since the 90s, they get a good natural creamy distortion
nobody uses seymour duncan amps. nobody. but there might be areason
Dumble amps are probably the best i've ever played, but they cost upwards of 10 grand, and there's a waiting list of like a year, plus the time it takes to make it (by hand.) Mine's do in about a year :]
You can also look at popular brands, and the amps they make that no one uses. While playing in a skapunk band, i used a mesa/boogie stiletto in the studio. i've never heard about anyone else using it because theyre all stuck up on the rectifiers. Other good examples are the bogner caveman, the marshall jcm900(not 800), the krank chadwick,
an alternative, which i don't really suggest, is to use pedals. If you wanna sound unique, just think of billy corgan. No one will ever be able to sound like him because he used 50 guitar tracks per song and even more pedals.
by the way, i only know of one tube modeling amp and it sucks. It's rare for an amp to be both tube and modeling.
hope this helped, i guess you can email me if you have more questiosn

I am in need of a peramp for a mic attachment for recording?
I need a simple easy to manufacture // tube /or electronic preamp preferably with meter, to per process the amplitude, not the volume for a soft spoken voice, for recording usage to connect to a USB connection on a computer.
The Presonus AudioBox is inexpensive but does not have a meter. The Presonus BlueTube has meters... GLP makes the ART. Your audio application in the computer should have a meter - if not, check Audacity.
