The Propellerhead Mpd32 can't be read on propellerhead reason 5?
I cant play my mpd on reason 5, when i go on preferences, keyboards and control surfaces it won't auto-detect and if i try to add it by clicking other as manufacturer and midi control surface as model it won't let me type in the name or midi input.
im using windows 7 and i do just plug it in the usb port cause its always worked like that it just stopped working
Come on, how do you expect anybody to answer this properly if you won't even tell us if you're using Mac or Windows? And what version of MacOS or Windows, and what you're using for a MIDI interface (assuming you're not just plugging it into the USB port)? And do other MIDI controller devices send correctly through the interface/port, or is the Akai the only thing you own? Just bear in mind, it HAS to auto-detect - there's really no other way it will work.

Business Audio Engineering What are some good California State University schools for Audio Engineering?
I am interested in working in the business area of the music industry. More specifically, my main aspirations are to work in recording engineering/ audio engineering/ digital engineering. I want to work with sound, but I'm also open to a career in music management/merchandise/industry. Basically, I don't plan on making it into the music industry in a band, but I love music so I still want to be involved in the industry. Any suggestions on CSU's that offer good programs having to do with audio Engineering? I live in Orange County and want to stay as close to the area as possible. I've heard that CSU Long Beach and CSU Dominguez Hills have decent programs, but are there any others? Any advice would be greatly appreciated
What about Audio Engineering on a broader level? Like not just for music, but for TV/Film as well.
There are none. No ABET accredited degree in Audio Engineering in California.
Consider the Audio Engineering Technology degree at University of Hartford.
More advice?: Stay out of the music business. It is atomizing, and very few people can make a consistent living.

I was wondering if there was any way i could just take business courses...like workshops....to learn a little about Business Administration. I'm about to graduate a trade school for Audio Engineering and I'd like to take some business related courses....it doesn't need to be Music Business courses...I would just like some business smarts. Any ideas on places I could do this?
The continuing education program in your local school district or community college will probably have courses on general business skills.
