What can i do to make myself happy and yet be independent?
I dont want to live with my parents now that im going to college and im 19. Even though my parents might love and care for me but i just dont want to be around them anymore and sometimes i get embarassed when i have to go places with them......and i rather be by myself or with friends. (even though i dont have any.) I dont have a car. Dont have any friends. And i dont have a job. Im talented and i can play piano, synths, drums and i sing with the choir. I also like to cook foriegn cusines and ontrays. Im atheletic too.....since i run everyday and excercise. I am also tired of this monotone routine bullshit life. Ive felt ive lived under a rock. Ive also been longing for a girlfriend since the 3rd grade. Not too mention a crush ive had this entire year and i screwed up when talking to her. Wow....i feel terrible. What could i do to spice up my life,........gain more expierience with realtionships and friends?
be optimistic, start a band, find a job somewhere in a nearby restaurant...all easier said than done but you'll feel good when you accomplish them.

XLN Audio Addictive Retro Drums together with Omnisphere
Drum type lampshade in Sydney?
I have been looking everywhere for a drum type lampshade in Sydney. There are none at IKEA, Freedom, Bunnings or Target. Has anyone actually seen one in the shops? It needs to be 50cm x 20cm. The seller does not post to Sydney.
The eBay auction item description actually indicates that you can have the item professionally packaged and sent via Australia Post.
I have seen similar shades in Kmart, but only the shade (not the stand). You might need to try a couple of different ones though, as stock varies!
You could try lighting shops (look in yellow pages for listings) as well if you were looking for just the shade. For example, Cosmo Lighting, Light Up etc.
If you are after the stand as well, for something in this style you would probably be better off trying botique furniture stores, especially on the North Shore. Woollahra would probably have a few places.
You could also try somewhere like the place linked below.. not sure if they'd have what you are looking for though.
Otherwise, keep watching ebay! I think they still have "want it now" so you can list what you want to buy.

What is a vocoder..........?
What is a synthesizer with a vododer? The main thing is I want to know what a vododer is because I looked on google and there's a bunch of stuff about buying a synthesizer/vododer but it doesn't explain what the vocoder actually is.
Wikipedia has a very in-depth article describing the types and history of vocoders, but here's a brief description of what they do. You supply a signal (usually vocals, through a microphone). The synthesizer takes that signal, strips out only the parts that make it sound like speech, and uses those to create an envelope for whatever notes (and sound) you're playing on the keyboard. So you wind up with the sound of the synthesizer singing the words you have sung (or spoken) into the microphone.
One notable early example of a vocoder is Herbie Hancock's album, "Sunlight." The electronic version of Beethoven's Ninth Symphony that is heard in Stanley Kubrick's film, "A Clockwork Orange" is another well-known instance of that technology. Vocoders have been used extensively throughout the music industry for the last 35 years or so.

Korg R3 (Synthesizer/Vocoder) - Overview Demo
A Question About Vocoders?
I am planning on buying the, "Moog Little Phatty" synthesizer; but as far as I can tell this synth does not come with a vocoder. Because of this; how can I do vocoder effects? Will I have to buy a separate synth with a vocoder built in or is there a device I can use with the phatty to act as a vocoder?
