Another Pretty Bass If i upgrade to Power SLinky Bass Strings (50-110), will i have to widen my nut slots?
I am planning to get a Schecter Stiletto Elite-4 and am curious if i will need to widen my nut slots to accommodate the thicker strings. I play in drop C so its a pretty low tuning.
Another question is if putting the strings through the body will be a major pain because i don't know if the body-string holes are wide enough?
Thanks
It depends on which guitar strings you had on before. If you are only going a couple gauges up, you shouldn't have much of a problem.
Likewise, if it is a huge jump in thickness, you will need to file out your nut and possibly drill out your through-body holes. You can find round files at your local hardware store for around $15+ if you want to go cheap, but if you mess it up, you'll have to get a new nut installed and the such. I'd take it to a luthier and have them do it should you choose this route.
If you are looking to play drop C, instead of going Holy-Moses on your gauge change, look at what gauge you use now and go up two steps. This will allow you to keep similar string tension (which will help with your sustain) and not have to alter the guitar.
Note - if you go too thick, there is a possibility of putting too much strain on your bass and warping the neck. Do not go overboard with thick strings.

Nothing in my eyes beats a EXILE CYCLES bike, NOTHING!
And I'm very happy with my TDM
But here is the quandry I want a bike that is complimentary to what I already have
Now I'm not interested in clones, copies or imitations. So you can exclude the Japanese/chinese harley generics etc.
So I want something classic ( and i don't mean old) something off the shelf that I can personalise. so spares and dealers aren't a problem
Give me your choice and the reason why you chose it.
I welcome answers from all BUT if you just Say HD and say" well if you don't know you'll never know" your wasting my time! HD owners be a bit more inventive

Professional Broadcast Is There an Output that ALL Video Cameras Will Have?
Is there a single video/audio, or at least only video output that ALL consumer, prosumer, and professional/broadcast video cameras will have?
I'm in the market for a new Steadicam, and it'd save me several hundred dollars (almost $1000) not to have to put in a junction box for different camera-to-monitor connections.
If there isn't one single one, is there an output that MOST would have?
Thanks!
I would have said in the past that composite video is the way to go, but nowdays it's leading to HDMI.
However many video formats are compatible.
http://pinouts.ru/ can be a useful resource in this case.
Yo u may find that things like composite video and svideo are interchangable, as are many formats like vga and hdmi. adaptors can be used in place of expensive junction boxes, and if you are so inclined, you can make your own.

What jobs can I get with these degrees?
BA in Professional Broadcasting Standards
or
BA in Music and Media management
I need to pick one, but knowing the sorts of jobs they could get me will help.
I remember reading somewhere that for every 30 media studies students there is 1 media studies job. Neither of those are really going to get you a job, I mean, you could get a first in them and make friends with all the right people and you'd be sorted, but on their own, they are not really going to be useful.
