CONTROL SYSTEM-what are the effects on the dynamic behaviour of the level?

when the setpoint is held constant and its hysteresis increased?

and also,

Should there be a limit on how wide the hysteresis of a two position controller can be set?

My professor did not let us make the experiment so i dont have an idea about this..

if the hysterisis is increased the level swings will be larger, but energy consumption and wear and tear will be reduced

the swings of a two position controller should be as large as the process allows

Mbox 2 Mini with Amplitube 3?

New to recording.
Just wanted to know if anyone knew how to set up the Mbox 2 mini with Amplitube's guitar modelling software. I tried a direct line in, and got the buzz, and so I went ahead and bought Digitech's audio interface. If someone who is experienced with recording could just give me an in depth tutorial, that would help a lot.
I do own Pro Tools but I'd rather focus on the Amplitube 3 software

The Mbox two mini (old version) that looks like this one http://www.guitarcenter.com/Digidesign-MBox-2-Mini-Educational-2009-106071921-i1452802.gc - does not work with anything but Pro Tools. The new Mbox mini (3rd gen) will work with any recording software but, unless you just bought yours and it looks like this one ... http://www.guitarcenter.com/Avid-Pro-Tools-Mbox-Mini--3rd-gen--106091184-i1552697.gc - then you have the old one like the first link and you cannot connect it to Amplitube.

What kind of phobia is it if I feel queazy everytime i see a collection of circles?

the tiny holes made by the insects on the soil, the larva in circles, patches of rounded rashes, sometimes a cracked windshield etc will give me chills!

i want to buy the sims complete collection but i have vista..is there any way this game will work on vista?

just want to make sure there is some way it will work before i buy it. i know the game doesnt say it will work on vista but i was just wondering if there is any way it will. i heard something about a patch that microsoft can send me...what is a patch and does one really exist for the sims complete collection game? thanks!

yes, i have windows vista and i used to play sims. you should have no problem.

I`m thinking about upgrading from cd to digital media players(with cd drawers) but cant decide which is best?

I have been using a set of cdj`s & mixer in coffin style case, I`m looking to upgrade my system without going all PC software (dont trust em).
Maybe back to 19" rack.
I`m considering the size, weight etc + organise & condense my music collection.
Untill I rip all my cds to mp3, I`ll need a media player with cd drawers, My 1st choice of weapon is the Pioneer mep 7000 but I find that a bit pricey(maybe worth paying for in long run) ?.
Any suggestions from any fellow Dj`s ?

You lose quality when you compress to mp3, CDs (or an uncompressed audio file format) is the only current way that I know of to maintain full sound quality.

Why throw out your old equipment? It's probably a lot better quality than most of the junk that's on the market nowadays.

urrgennt... sound not recording from my speakers...?

hi
i normally use a recording software program like av rack to record sound. i was using it this afternoon, and all of a sudden it stopped working; when i recorded sound, it doesn't play back. this also happens in sound recorder.
WHY is this happening, AND HOW CAN I FIX IT?
btw person hu gives the correct solution n makes the recording n playback work will DEFINITELY b awarded best answer....

Have a look in your sound settings in Control Panel. Under recordings, the input device may have been disabled. Or you could try the volume settings on the taskbar by the clock. In XP and earlier, the default panel that opens is playback, but the menu will let you select recording. The input device may have been muted. In Vista, right click on the icon and select recording devices.

Failing that, you could uninstall your sound card from device manager. Restart your computer and it will be redetected. This may solve the problem.

Webmail/email client questions?

So i am trying to integrate the several email addresses i have into a client, when i came across several questions. Which is more secure webmail or pop3/imap? Another thing i would like to ask is do webmails use ssl and tls encryption when you use them? And how do i get thunderbird to use ssl for yahoo mail when using the webmail plugin?

They all use the pop3 protocol.

You would need to use PGP to have more safety but most of the programs are not compatible with that yet.
