Propellerhead Reason 4.0 propellerhead reason midi device mapping - Can't figure out how to assign keys!?
I am using Propellerhead Reason 4.0 with Propellerhead Drums 2.0. I have a MIDI controller interface (Akai LPD8) with which I use to tap out drum beats.
I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how to simply assign individual MIDI controller pads to the different drum sounds! I load a given set, and the pad is automatically assigned kick, snare, hihat, and a few toms. The other 3 "programs" offer 3 alternative key pad assignments, but I CANNOT pick and choose my own mapping. I want crash cymbal on the top-right button, snares on the bottom row middle 2 buttons, etc etc.
Anyone have any idea? This is SO easy in FL Studio, I am just not competent in Reason yet.
I think when you right click on the parameter you wish to automate, you get two options "edit remote mapping" and there's another one of which I am not too sure. But there are only about 3 unique options, so it should not be hard to figure out.
Use them, and I doubt you will call yourself incompetent anymore.
