Reason Acid Cubase

I'm looking to start recording in my home what software should I use? Along with what all I should purchase.?

Reason, Cubase, Nuendo, Fruity Loops, Pro Tools (HD) , Acid, Cool Edit, Cakewalk, Auditon, Sound Forge, Wavelab, Samplitude, Ableton Live, Sonar, Gigastudio, Oriental. Which of these would you use?

I personally use Pro tools - I think it's the best way to go.

Here is a great article on setting up a Pro Tools home studio that I think will help you:

Also, you should seriously consider joining a community like http://www.audioneeds.com - it's a great forum filled with sound engineers that are always asking and answering questions and discussing techniques in mixing and recording. I think it'll help you a lot since you are interested in recording so much. :)

Good luck my friend!

Cityscape Productions presents LSD (Created with Reason 4)

What is the best music software to make hip hop beats?

reason, sony acid, fl studio, cubase... theres loads but what is the best

as a music producer for more than 7 years....Reason is the best I've come across.

Although FL Studio is my favorite...I vote for Reason for the best beat creating software. Although it is more complicated to work with, FL Studio is easier to use...and can also accomplish pro-quality productions as well. But Reason has a way better sound engine than FL Studio, and has best quality instruments, etc...I've ever come across. FL Studio can also get quality instruments by using vst plugins...but still the output will have to go through its sound engine which makes mixing and mastering more harder.

If you want to go for the best....go for Reason and rewire it with Pro-Tools...please note that using Reason require midi controller (keyboard) and Pro-Tools requires its own audio interface or the m-audio interfaces work with Pro-Tools as well.

Or FL Studio rewire with Cubase....FL Studio can also work without midi controller...but Cubase will require an audio interface for best results.

gud luck
