I'm new to recording. I use garage band as my software and an audiobox usb audio interface to plug into my mac. I have a gibson les paul studio and i use a line6 podxt live for my effects/distortion/amp models and what not. When i record my guitar, it usually doesnt sound the way I want it to. It doesnt sound full and complete. In fact it sounds pretty weak. Is it my tone thats the problem or is it my equipment
A good way around this is to use a mic instead of going direct to the USB interface. Connect a mic to the XLR mic input on the interface and use that to mic your amp:

Put the mic right in front of the amp - you'll probably get a more real sounding recording.

Usb Audio Recording What's the best Recording Audio Interface?
I'm looking to upgrade from my cheesy little M-Audio USB USB recording device to a bigger module. I need something that's under $200 that will be able to record things like Guitars and Keyboards via 1/4" inputs, that has either a USB or FireWire (4-pin) interface.
Thanks.
I would go with the Mackie Onyx Satellite. It has a terrific Onyx preamp with +48v phantom power, a base with a detachable "satellite" unit, and a decent price point. It'll accept both 1/4" hi-z connections and XLR microphone inputs and has monitoring outs. 2-channels. it'll appear in your DAW software of choice as assignable inputs.

Tiny USB Flash Drive With Built In Voice Recorder For 40 Hours Of Audio Recording
My USB microphone was recording perfectly then all of a sudden the quality is terrible?
Its a samson C03U. I was recording on audacity and later when I went to do the same the audio quality sounded terrible! Any ideas why? How can I fix this? Just to let you know I am not good at all with computers.
Your best bet is to reload audacity and the software that came with the mic (if any).
