Pod Farm Usb

I am trying to start home recording and i need a good USB setup.....?
All i am needing to record is vocals, acoustic guitars, and possibly bass and electric guitars. So if i bought the snowball USB mic, would i be able to mic my amps (for the bass and electric guitar) and still have good sound quality or do i need to buy something like the line 6 pod studio?
Snowball USB mic:

Line 6 pod studio:

Note: Im not going to be recording everything at once.
For an inexpensive USB Audio Interface I'd recommend this one from PreSonus:

You can then use any studio microphone on the market (since you will have mic preamps, phantom power, and analog to digital converters) instead of being constrained to use the limited selection of USB mics.
The Audio Interface listed above also has the basic recording software and virtual mixing console software you need to get started. Check out this diagram to see how it would all come together.

Line 6 Pod Farm 2 Demo - Tutorial
I need to transfer stuff to my I-pod: read more?
In English my teacher used my Ipod nano as a usb and put the animal farm audio book onto the files. Now i want to take it from my Ipod's 'files' to on my Ipod so I can listen to it. Please help.
whenever i try to find it on my computer itunes opens and quits my computer...
I think you should see the devices plugged in the computer (my computer, if in windows) and where it shows the iPod, double click and the folders inside should appear. Find the book there, and copy to iTunes and sync. At least that's how it worked for me.
