Firewire Make Do all Firewire cards work well with both cameras and music instruments ?
I hope to make a music recording studio where I will be using guitars, pianos , drums, MIDI controllers and many others. My desk top has no 6pin port but the Firewire I have, uses a 6pin cable.
I was advised to buy a Firewire card but it seems it connects cameras.

How much will it cost to get a firewire port installed onto my computer?
so i have a DV camera (GR-D850) and a desktop computer (Dell dimension 2400) and i make a lot of videos. i want to connect my DV camera up to my computer to edit videos. but my computer does not have a fire wire port. and a USB to Firewire costs like 120$ and im not willing to spend that much just for a cord. i was wondering how much it would cost to maybe get a fire wire port "installed" onto my computer
You can buy a FireWire PCI card. Think they go for around $15. Just follow the instructions that come with it. Basically you have to open your DeskTop computer, plug it into one of the PCI slots (the white ones) and you are set to go.

Is this a good internet speed or not?
So i will be upgrading from DSL Lite to Ultra. The Download is 1.5mbps and the upstream is 256kbps. Will it work a little smoother for xbox live?
yes it will work better for your X box but the speeds will vary and don't let a salesman tell you different.
the speeds you get depend on how close you are to a hub and how many people are accessing the hub during the course of the day. In a radio station:can the studios and the control room have irregular shape/angles or there r sound problems?
Control rooms can have irregular shapes. I have worked in several TV and radio control rooms that were irregularly shaped.
Studios can be irregularly shaped, also. If it is purely a soundstage, the 'good' ones will have baffling materials on the walls, floor, and ceiling and the shape won't matter, because most or all of the sound will be absorbed by the baffles and insulation materials.
I was recently in one recording studio where the sound room was very oddly shaped.

I'm looking to get FTM software, a 2011 edition, going to start from scratch, meaning no older versions to input info from. I'm trying to figure out if there is any real difference between the Essentials, Deluxe, and Platinum version beside the length of free ancestry.com you get. ?.
Also, does anyone know if the free ancestry.com begins once you install the software or can you choose when to start your free time?

Adware/Spyware Removal?
My friend's laptop has the Anti virus Soft Platinum installed. This software is preventing any other anti virus program on her computer to work. I have tried to install the AVG free software, but it keeps telling me to uninstall the Anti virus Soft Platinum software, but it doesn't show up in the add/remove programs. I have used windows defender, Microsoft windows malicious software removal tool, and Microsoft security essentials software and none of these programs detected the Anti virus Soft Platinum software. I did download spyware doctor and it scanned the computer and found 100 hits of spyware, but the program will not remove the adware/spyware unless I pay for it. I never brought that kind of software before, usually if I get adware/spyware on my computer I just zap it and reload it. I'm thinking that's the best thing to do for my friend but she really doesn't want me too. So any suggestions would be great.
