Broadcast Production Production company that plays Vivaldi's "Summer" at the end of certain TV shows
I remember when I was younger, at the end of certain TV series on like ABC and such, they would advertise a few second clip of, I think their production company or broadcasting company or something... and in this clip, it showed a violinist in black and white playing the third movement of Vivaldi's "Summer." Later, I saw that same clip at the end of, I believe it was "Commander in Chief." Does anyone know what I'm talking about? What's it an advertisement for, and on what other shows did it appear after?
You've described the logo for Steven Bochco Productions, which made a number of series including Doogie Howser M.D., L.A. Law, NYPD Blue and the infamous bomb Cop Rock.
Steven Bochco produced his shows mainly at 20th Century Fox.
How are "first-look" production deals in Hollywood generally structured? How much $ does the studio invest?
I need to better understand the general financing & rights structure of how first-look production deals between major studios & independent production companies. What generally do these agreements include? How many treatments or scripts? How much does the studio pay (ranges)? What are the tradeoffs financially for when to enter into a "first-look" deal or not? Related to this, what is a "shingle" & how might this relate to having a "first-look" deal? Many thanks!!
