I have a mac and would like to know what to get for making Electronic music?
Ableton Suite is a tremendous piece of software.
Aside from a few extra plugins, I don't use anything else for making music these days. It has absolutely everything you need to get started, the layout is straightforward and easy to understand and it comes with loads of tutorials to set you on the right track. It has an incredible amount of features and instruments for you to use. You can't really go wrong with Ableton as long as your computer is powerful enough to handle it.

Can you use a digidesign recording interface with cubase LE?
Ok so my band, the ferocious GLASSWALLS, is looking at buying an interface and doing our own recording ourselves. I have worked with cubase for 3 years now and its safe to say i know my way around it. We are looking at upgrading our interface to a Digidesign 001 but i need to know if its compatible with cubase LE. HELP!
There is no easy reference to it online to see if cubase LE works with the digidesign.
In theory if you install the digidesign properly, it should show up in your list of input devices in Cubase. All you would need to do is select it.
The digidesign comes with Protools LE so you could always start using that. It is not too much different than Cubase.
