Im thinking of getting a toneport UX2, and i have some questions to ask=P.
1. Can toneport Ux2 be used for live music?
2. If it is live, does it give out a good tone? If it doesn't is there any amplifier that would give out the same tone as this? (Mind you we both have the exact same guitars and pickups and he uses a toneport ux2 wheras i use a Peavy Vypyr 15w) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LO-ihd3iZio.
3. Is toneport UX2 versatile in it's tones?
P.S: Im pretty sure you have to use gearbox with toneport.
1. it is possible, but i am certain the tone would not be very good at all. most likely would sound very muddy. i hooked my toneport up to my amp and it sounded "watered down" i guess you could call it. i wouldn't use this live if i were you.
2. there should be an amp that can give you the sound you want. The toneport uses gearbox to emulate current amp models, so you should be able to find an amp.
3. yes, it is very versatile with tones. when you buy it, you have access to line 6 gearbox, from which you can emulate almost anyone's tone that you want.

Farm Usb Will a tv signal amplifier improve my digital tv signal quality?
I have a USB HD tv tuner which, when I plug into my roof antenna and scan Australian frequencies, finds SBS and displays it perfectly, it also finds other channels but cannot display them because the signal quality is too low. I am on a farm near Koo Wee Rup, in south east Victoria and the antenna works perfectly with analog television, but at this stage I can only pick up SBS on digital TV, which is crystal clear, but no other stations. The tuner says very high signal strength, but almost no signal quality for other stations, so i'm just wondering if a signal amplifier will help improve the signal quality.
An amplifier should improve quality, but it will not be incremental. The amplifier will either cause the DTV signals to become instantly "clear" or not. There won't be any "in-between".

Farm Usb Interface What USB interface should I get for my guitar?
I have had a line 6 GX before but i found the software that came with it annoying "pod farm" what would any of you suggest thanks.
Are you on Mac or PC? that's a shame about the pod farm as I love it!
I also use a Mac with Logic pro which has awesome features, check out this months guitar mags as a new interface is out by peavey for the ipod that looks great. other than that I agree with the chap above about lexicon as they are great.
I have heard good things about the Native Instruments as well although I do not endorse them.

Farm Platinum My friend found a rock while doing some excavating around his old farm house(over 100 yrs old)?
He says it is very heavy, could it be platinum?sorry about spelling. in ashtabula,ohio!!and its hard!shiny looks to have broken when discing the dirt not cut!
I was told posibly pionite?it isn`t magnetic.no rust,looks like it may have been forged at sometime,dolimite?
it is also very hard,not lead!or soft metal!
There's not many platinum mines in Ohio, so I would probably rule that out.
You can do a couple of things:
First - put a magnet on it. Does it stick? Then you've got a lump of steel or iron of some sort. The scrap price of steel is pretty high, but unless you've got a huge piece, it's probably not worth a whole lot.
Or...
Wwash off all dirt, etc. Then compute the specific gravity - to do that, you weigh it on a metric scale, and record the weight. Next, place it in a graduated cylinder partially filled with water. Subtract the starting water level from the ending water level to get the volume of the rock. Divide the volume by the weight to get the SG. Compare this to different kinds of rock, metal, etc, to get an idea of what it is. This is just basic physical science.
Or....
go to your local high school, community college, state college, etc, and ask to talk to a teacher or professor that teaches geology, and have it evaluated. They'll probably be able to identify it fairly quickly.
