Is there a use for empty cell-phone boxes?
I just leased this store for my Photo Studio but it has tons of empty Cell-Phone boxes in the back(excellent cond.). The landlord will pay for the clean-up but I was wondering if there is a use for the boxes e.g. Jewelery, Crystal or Hobby stuff safe-keeping. They are 3X5 & 7-inch high, all open & close just fine. Looks clean but are decorated with the graphics of the cell phone. Some have store stickers on them too.
Amplitube Fender Can I buy Amplitube Fender for my iPad 2 without buying Amplitube first?
As a bass player, Amplitube Fender looks a bit more appealing to me than the original Amplitude. (I didn't see any reference to bass in the Amplitube material I've read, but I see that Amplitube Fender has a Fender Bassman rig.) If I buy Amplitube Fender, can I eventually buy the original Amplitube and have those effects as well, or can I only go from Amplitube to Amplitube Fender, not vice versa?
Yes, Amplitube Fender is its own separate app. You dont have to get Amplitube first

i got the new fender mustang 2 for christmas and im trying to install the fender amplitube but its asking for a product serial number on a registration card but i don't think one of those came with it. maybe im not looking i the right place? any suggestions?
I think You are going to have to go on IK multimedia's website and create an account. Then you will have to register your Amplitube product and then they will give you a serial number.
Guitar Interface New to music compisition... How interface an electric guitar with a computer?
My little brother has been playing guitar for a couple of years and wanted him to compose his own music on the computer. Before i spend money on studio time for him i wanted to bridge the gap. What software and hardware is needed for him to compose music directly from his guitar to the computer in midi for example.
Converting guitar sounds directly into midi is costly and rather frustrating, as there aren't any really good guitar to midi converters.
My recommendation is to actually record the sound of the guitar. To record guitars and generally make guitar-based music, you'll need both hardware and software.
For hardware, you need a sound-card developed especially for musicians. Sometimes these are called "Audio Interfaces". I like USB-based solutions. Here's a link to a major retailer of these sorts of things, which includes customer reviews.
For software, the range is very broad, from freeware that might not work quite right, to professional software costing over $1000. The term for what you are looking for is a DAW, and some popular ones for home use are Ableton Live, FL Studio, Apple Logic, Sonar XL, and Cubase.
One thing to keep in mind is that often the hardware audio interfaces will come with demo versions of DAW software, which might be good enough to get started making music. After your first big hit you'll definitely be able to buy more professional software! .
If you relax the restriction of composing directly from the guitar, there are lots of good midi composers for free on the internet - however, these generally won't produce great sonic results.

your Jackson will do nicely. the equipment you use for recording process is really where the difference is. Are you going to a studio? Home recording? If home recording, make sure you're using a good program/interface for PC or a good board. The mics you use will color the sound, so minimally get a shure57 unless your amp has a killer line out (most dont untill you get up to the $1000 range)

Recording Your Guitar At Home
What is the best software for recording guitar and/or transcribing guitar?
I play guitar and I want to be able to enter musical notes and have them play back. I'd also like to be able to record guitar. Ideally I'd like to be able to play my guitar and have the notes written automatically by the software program but I'm not sure if that is possible. Is there a program that does this and what kind of equipment would I need?
For basic audio recording, any recording software will work. All depends on how many tracks, effect and features you want or need.
An audio interface will give you better signal and they usually come with free software. More info here:
