Roland Fantom Yamaha Recommended budget digital piano/keyboard?
I've played piano for years so don't suggest anything that sounds like crap. I have a leaning to Roland or Yamaha since they have such wonderful sampling. Trouble is finding one in a decent price range. I'm very familiar with digital pianos but not so much high end keyboards/stage pianos. As such I'm wondering what was recommended. Roland has its Fantom series and Yamaha has a series as well. I've heard good things about Kurzweil as well. But what about Korg or some other brands? Any recommended models or brands I should be looking into? I prefer atleast 76 keys 88 is nice. Thanks.
ok i have a great piano that my mom and dad got for me um was around 600 dollars the brand is casio and the name of the piano is privia great piano and great sound
musical instruments im loooking for a nice cheap keyboard
im in desperate need of a new keyboard does anybody know were i can get a cheap triton or motif
A cheap Triton? You gotta be kidding. A more reasonable "previously owned" instrument one could label "inexpensive" would be the Korg M1. I'm sure you could find these a lot easier, and you're talking hundreds of dollars, not thousands. This is an incredibly reliable instrument and requires very little maintenance.
Mpc Motif Using Midi with a Keyboard and a sampler (like mpc)?
I have an MV8800 roland sampler
and a midi controller right now
but i am looking into gettin a workstation like a fantom or motif
right now I just use the midi controller to control the sounds inside my sampler
but I want to get a keyboard soon and I was wondering if I could record the sounds inside my keyboard to my sampler using midi?
You could sample the sounds unless its a sampler workstation. The Phantom Triton and motif are workstations and your can record the music from them on to a built in 16 midi track sequencer. Thats where you do the recording.
Roland Fantom Korg what should i get? the Roland Fantom x8, yamaha motif XS8, or the Korg M3?
i like the fantom because of the drum pad and the recording features and how its expandable, i like the Motif because of the sounds..i feel there better then the roland..and i like the M3 because all the features and effects you can do...im really confused on what to choose..this is my first time buying a keyboard like this and i would appreciate getting other people's feedback on them..it would be used mostly for performing such as in a church..thank you
The best play motif like Billy Joel, Stevie Wonder, Elton John and me....
yeh Ishq Hai -Jab We Met Instrumental Korg Pa800 & Fantom X
what keyboard is best for making hip hop/rap beats? yamaha motif? korg triton extreme? roland fantom?
I would go:
1. Korg Triton
2. Roland Fantom
3. Yamaha Motif
Honestly though, if you don't care about playing live....then I would look at getting a MIDI Controller with the software Reason. Many Hip Hop / Rap beats are made with Reason. It will give you everything that a Digital Workstation can except for onboard sound and much much more. There are a ton of drum kits in Reason. And a whole lot in the R & B, Hip Hop genre. I would honestly recommend it.
For a digital workstation you are looking at $1,500-$3,000. For Reason and a MIDI Controller you are looking at $750-$1250. The only way I would get a digital workstation over the MIDI Controller is if I played live on a very consistent basis.
Fantom Yamaha Motif Yamaha Motif or Roland Fantom?
which is better, specific details on each, anything special
Hey, I own Motif ES7 and prefer Yamaha sounds, the guitars, string sections, brasses, elec pianos, drum kits, and basses are the best.
Roland Fantom's acoustic piano is realy lovely and so realistic, but in the same time you can load a good piano sample to Motif ES as well, its sample unit is very handy.
But I should addmit that Roland Fantom X sequencer is better than Motif ES.
The hammer key action of Yamaha is better than Roland if you look for 88 piano keys.

Whats the difference between an Arranger and a Workstation, and also a Synthesizer?
I basically want a keyboard whch is fully capable of studio recording, live playing, and should be very handy in every sphere!Which nes better Roland V Synth or Fantom, and the difference? Moreover there are others like from Yamaha(Motif, Tyros)....the difference again?...Im CONFUSED, please help me out!!
Basically I'm a M.C.A graduate, sound engineer & instrumet player, along with my family i've done many albums in our own studio .we use vsynth, yamaha psr3k workstation, boss rhythm arranger,& sampler for the skeleton of a tune. i can tell you 1 thing, if you are really a good player in piano. you may good to go with yamaha motif or tyros.they were different kind of workstation keyboard's which cosists all types of instruments that are available in real world.sound modeling technology is the heart of yamaha TYROS,which displays everything on 3D 3" TFT SCREEN & shows what a instrument would have & allows you to experiment with modeling.you can fine tune a sound of any insturment & have more than dozen options to mix with , you can also mix up with other sounds to create a innovative sound, it is the yamaha's flagship workstation. it is very expensive. i want to buy this one but i cannot afford to pay that much money. it costs 7414 US $
nearly 3,70,000+ Rs/- in our country, and while coming to the difference between arranger ,workstation & synthesizer.
an arranger is just like a beat bank on a keyboard. using the drum patterns and presets you can compose a drum track separtely.and it also used with other instruments to synch with midi. and also with an arranger you can replace a drummer on a live show.
a workstation is a instrument which allows you to experiment with the sounds i.e you can model the sounds by adjusting the individual orchestration part. like editing drum patches, replacing kits, changing voices etc.
a synthesizer is looks like a keyboard, it will oscillates the sound waves in different waveforms and produces a variety of sounds by generating and combining signals of different frequencies.they dont have any built in speakers. you must have monitor speakers to connect.if you are good in playing piano then consider this, otherwise leave it.
