Effects Pedal Do I need to buy an extra chord to plug in an effects pedal to my guitar amp?
I'm thinking about buying my first effect pedal tomorrow, but I'm new to pedals. I'm thinking about getting either a delay pedal or a loop pedal. What kind of chord do I need to buy to connect the pedal to my amp? Is it the same kind of chord I have for my guitar?

If i buy an effects pedal overseas, can there be problems with voltage?
I want to buy a guitar effects pedal in the United States, but i don't know if the pedal is affected by the difference in voltage.
You should be able to run it on batteries with no problem.
If you want to use an adaptor, most pedals sold in the US use a 9volt negative center 2.1 mm x 5.5 mm that produces a maximum of 300 miliamps. Anything from 50-300 miliamps should be fine for a 9 volt pedal. Just show the specifications of the pedal to someone in your country, and they should be able to find you the corresponding adaptor.
