How To Dj Ableton What's my next step as a 13 year old dj?
So I'm a 13 year old DJ who mainly mixes electro house, dubstep, progressive house and some club remixes of popular song. I dont really follow a traditional style of djing, I use ableton with an APC40 and a small midi keyboard to control glitch abd stutter fx. And i have a soundcar which is good enough for me. But seeing that im only 13, i cant perform at clubs. I occasionally do house parties with some friends of mine, but they dont happen that often since we have school. So what should i do next, and how should i do it?

How do I get my DJ set to get a better recording.?
I am using an American Audio cdi 500 set, Monster XLR cords, a mac mini Logic Pro, and Alesis Multimix 8 input usb 2.0 mixer.
I get a good recording with my drums, keyboard, and guitars. But when I try recording the DJ set I get tons of static, humming, and popping. It is also at a very low volume.
I have tried multiple brands of XLR cables. I have also tried different software such as Garage Band and Ableton live! I have tried many suggestions such as keeping the cored separate etc.
The song sounds fine in the headphones. Its when Im recording through the XLR cables when I get the static.
Any tips are appreciated.
I am a little confused...the CDi500 have RCA outputs and the normal way you would connect one to your mixer would be with two RCA to 1/4 inch cables:

I don't understand where you would be using XLR cables for this setup. Do you have a DJ mixer too? If so, you should not connect the line level XLR outputs of any DJ mixer to the mic level XLR inputs on the Alesis mixer. It will not work well and if you have the "phantom power" on the Alesis turned on, you could damage the DJ mixer. If you are connecting a DJ mixer to the Alesis, you should connect it with the RCA tape outputs to two 1/4 inch inputs on the mixer using the above cable.
