Cannot get no sound though speakers.?

Hello all,I`m recording roland d-50 synth voices into a cubase vst 32 sequencer,when the d-50 synth is switch on the sound is played back through the speakers and saved.when i recall it there is no sound untill i switch the d-50 synth on,every things ok untill i switch the d-50 off,please HELP.........THANK YOU....shaun.

Are you recording audio or MIDI - If you are recording MIDI you have to play it back through your sound module or initialize a VST instrument from the drop-down list...

In the MIDI track's inspector go to the track's output field and choose the VST instrument and voice that you want to playback through....................

How can you hard code VST insert effects to tracks in Cubase?

I want to send my cubase project to a friend to add their own tracks and master the recording, but i have guitar rig 3 on my guitar tracks as inserts and they don't have GR3. So how can i write the effects onto the recordings i have, so the effects are permanent and i can then give them my cubase project?

Im using Cubase LE 4 but i can figure out what i need to do if your answer is version specific

Hmmm...been a bit since I've used Cubase...I would assume that your direct recorded audio into Cubase is a dry track and as your post suggests, that the GR3 is used as an insert in the channel strip. Do you have the ability to route the output of your track into another track? If youre playing your guitar on track one with GR3 as an insert, route the audio output of track one into another track, say track two for example, and then record to the second track. This should make an audio recording of the guitar with the effects in the waveform itself. The option may be to just bounce the track out as an wave file, then import it back into a new session...this may be a pain though if you have a lot of tracks in the session. Hope this helps!

Working with Cubase - Setting up VST Connectsion

when using a midi file in cubase sx3, how can i stop the vst instruments from resetting every time it loops?

it's really annoying after tweaking a sound for ages only to have it reset to default when it loops/restarts. Please help.

Hi,

It seems the midi loop you are using has a program change embedded in it.

Open the midi loop using the list editor in cubase and delete the midi program change information.

Also is you spend loads of time on a synth creating a sound, save it first :)

Thats a double negative - you cannot get any sound through speakers!
