It wont be the best quality audio from a flash video, but if you set your soundcard to record any audio played over your computers speakers, probably by opening audio preferences/advanced or something like that, make an audio track in a project in cubase, then pressing record with that track selected should record any sound that your soundcard is outputting.
I'm a first-time user of Cubase and when I try to record audio all I can do is like speak at the computer and it picks up my voice. How do I record an instrument directly into the thing? What setting do I use? I already have an interface and everything...
► please describe your hardware setup,
► here's the basics for Consumer and Professional Sound Cards and USB audio interfaces
- install the drivers for the card and disable any unused integrated devices;
► Consumer Sound Card: (Integrated, PCI, PCI-e, PCMCIA)
- you plug the pre-amp outputs of a mixing board into the line in on the sound card
- you plug all your devices into the mixing board
- open Cubase do level checks and play / record away
► Professional Sound Card: (PCI, PCI-e, PCMCIA, USB Audio device)
- depending on how many inputs are available on the card or USB interface, you still may need a mixing board
- if there are enough inputs on the card / USB interface then you can usually plug instruments & mics direct,
- open cubase do level checks and play / record away
* - when using individual direct inputs you must create a separate track for each item

it sounds like what you are experiencing is the built in mic on a laptop
