Cubase And Pro Tools
Can I Export Cubase To Pro-Tools?
I want to export a cubase project to pro-tools, and go back to pro-tools if needed. I work with other studios who all use Pro-Tools but it's out of my price range.

You cant use a cpr in a pro-toosl project, the 2 different file types are not compatible.
You could, however bounce all your Cubase channels to audio then import those to PT making sure tempo etc is the same.
You can also export the midi parts if you are using midi then re-impor them to PT and activate the same VSTS etc, but all of this is extremely tedious. YOu can also export as OEM files but this is hit and miss.
The best way is to use MEAP to export all channles and all seperate parts on those channels as audio, use the exported text file to put everything to the correct bars etc then you are set.
check http://www.meap.biz/ for the MEAP application, i use it to get my Cubase tracks into Ableton Live for live manipulation and its great.
