No MIDI playback sound in Cubase?
Today i was messing around with cubase LE and i imported a midi file that i had made with monkeymachine (an online drum machine). When i tried to play the file i had imported it made no sound. Anyone know what to do?
MIDI contains no audio information... it just stores your PERFORMANCE. You need to assign sounds to each of the channels of MIDI you want.
Also, you should join an online forum for recording geeks like yourself, who can really benefit from other people's information. Forums are awesome because of that. What good recording software should I get?
at school we have cubase 4, and im quite good using that, but i cant find it anywhere online, what is cubase 5 like or what other software can i get?
Have you tried Sound Forge Pro from Sony Corp?. Its great and user friendly, hope it will serve your need. If not try using WaveLab 6, Adobe Audition... there are few more simple ones, but not up to the mark
