Out Cable I found out my contractor has an expired liscense and he hit a cable TV wire am I responsible for the damage?
it knock out the cable, phone and internet service for the whole block. The cable company is trying to fix it now.

I would say it's a matter of when you knew his license was expired. Then I would say you'd better put a lien against him for the repairs or the cost and, then if they come after you, you can say you just found out and are going after him. He is your responsibility.
Line Level Xlr Condenser microphone with a line level device?
Heres my issue in a nutshell. I have this mixer RU-MX4L, no phantom power... I tried using an xlr condenser Mic with it and that obviously did not work. I really dont know much about audio equipment, I just wanted a simple device to plug my video game audio into and a nice microphone so I could record live voice overs. So are there any nice "line level" microphones out there? Or is there anyway to get a condenser mic to work with this device? thank you very much.
can you get that mic to work with that device: sorry, not with out buying a totally new device. but you could get a dynamic mic (which does not need phantom power)
a cheap but good one is the shure SM58. For vocals i think its better than the sm57.
I have a Fender Acoustasonic Junior amplifier with an XLR output (which says "Balanced Line Out") in the back with a level knob. Can I connect that directly to a speaker? I have a special cable with XLR at one end and a standard 1/4" mono at the other. I don't have a speaker to try this out though. Does the speaker need to be powered? Or do I need to run it through a powered mixer or something? I'm hoping that I can just buy a speaker and hook it up, but I have my doubts that it would work.
If it does need to be powered somehow, would I be better off buying a powered speaker or a PA system?
I'm playing in a wedding in a few weeks and I would like there to be a nice sound. I fear that if I only use my amplifier, the sound will be weird.
Depending on how big the venue is, you should be able to get away with running it through some non powered speakers. Just get a xlr to .25 inch stereo or mono depending on how many speakers you want to run.
Cable Sound My SAMSUNG television is making a high pitched ringing sound when watching cable or DVD. How to fix it?
As stated before, my SAMSUNG television emits this high pitched ringing or squealing sound when I'm watching Cable or DVD. How do I go about fixing this? The warranty is up at BestBuy and I would prefer not spending money to take it to a television repair shop. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
check all you wire and connection it sounds like feedback from the wiring or short

You can get stereo sound through a coaxial cable through cable but not a game console?
Someone explain this 2 me. How comes if u were to hook up a PS2 through coaxial cable and not composite, you can't get stereo sound, but through cable TV you can with the same cable?
By "coaxial cable" I assume you mean the RF connection that goes into the TV's antenna input. ("Coaxial" is just a cable type and can be used for many different things, not just RF.)
To send video over RF the PS2 has to have an "RF modulator". It takes the "baseband video and audio" output (same stuff that would come out of the composite video and L and R audio jacks) from the rest of the PS2 and "modulates" these onto an RF carrier, typically on TV channel 3. It's at this stage that the stereo is lost - not for technical reasons but for cost reasons.
To put stereo audio into a TV signal, according to the standards TV sets use, requires an audio compression circuit that until very recently had to be licensed from dbx. The license fees were expensive, more suitable for equipment that goes into TV stations or cable TV head ends than into game consoles.
( This is not the case for stereo over FM radio, even though the modulation is very similar - there is no dbx-licensed audio compression circuit there. )
The patent expired a few years ago and license fees for stereo audio modulation on TV signals are no longer required, but the practice persists. I'm not aware of ANY consumer electronics device with a TV RF modulator that provides stereo sound.
VCRs are a classic example. Even though the VCR might be a stereo model its RF output always provides mono sound. Even without license fees the stereo TV modulator would still be more expensive to build than the mono version.
Sony and others assume that if you're interested in stereo you probably have a stereo system, and you can run the console's audio output into that instead of relying on sound through the TV's little speakers.
instrument cables comparison : "EsSe-Cable" vs Standard cable ( Marco Angelo )
Whats the difference between an Instrument Cable and a Patch Cable?
I just got a guitar for my birthday, so now I wanna be able to amp it. I went on ebay to find some cheap cables and I found something called a patch cable. It had the one-fourth male-male things. Would it work with my standard amp? Also what's the diff between Instrument cables and Patch cables.
It will work as long as the connectors are correct (usually 1/4" male on both ends). Patch cables hookup one electronic device to another. Instrument cables are the same thing ... just semantics.
Right now it's on sale for $100 plus tax for a 8GB and i always wanted something with a radio so i preferred this instead of an ipod but if it's a bad product then of course radio isn't really a big deal. So if anyone has an expierence with it , it would help or know the pros and cons of it.. And does anyone know if it comes with a charger or if the usb cable can charge? Also, i heard it has wi-fi? I'm not sure but i'm just wondering if it does and if it does; if it's good? Thanks all
I just recieved my 4GB Zune today. Overall it's a pretty good alternative to an iPod. It has very good sound quality, and many features. It comes with some preloaded content, including music, videos, photos, and podcasts. You can choose to delete these if you wish. (If you ever reset the device, you'll lose all of the preloaded content...I did). The 3.0 software includes 2 games, Hexic and Texas Hold 'Em. And, Microsoft just added 3 more to the website that should be available soon, including Sudoku, Space Battle, and Checkers.(All games are free) Just like most MP3 players, the Zune does not include a separate charger. The device is charged through the USB sync cable. Yes, the Zune has wi-fi, but not for internet browsing. You can wirelessly share songs, sync with your pc, and view a small version of the Zune Marketplace. As far as the design goes, it's a durable player, with a glass screen, and brushed aluminum backing, so therefore it is pretty scratch resistant. However, it's not as thin as the iPod nano. I'd recommend it if you're looking for something other than an iPod.
