Hip Hop Funk Do you think i should start funk/hip hop in the middle of the year?
I currently do ballet and jazz
and i want to try funk but im not sure because the dance is already made up (the main thing we do in classes) and im going to have to catch up on a lot of dancing...
Do you think i should start??
and what happens in a funk'hiphop class
thanks
It doesnt really matter when you start,, if you have any friends in the dance class im sure theyd help you. ballet and jazz tend to help you with most other dances. a funk and hip hop dance is like jazz but more modern
Hop Beats What is a good Drum Machine for hip hop beats?
I decided it's time to produce my own beats. I want a machine that'll work good and get me on the right path, but isn't too pricey.
If you have a keyboard w/midi out, you can use it to trigger drum samples as well as play virtual instruments and automate/edit parameters on any DAW like FL Studio or Cubase.
What do I need to make professional hip hop beats?
I have a macbook, logic studio 8 and an AKAI MPK 49. I want to be able to make beats and save them on my computer and send them to people via email. How can I start doing this?
Analog Funk What do you think of this career plan?
I am a senior in high school and i really love music especially Jazz, Reggae, Funk and Alternative 90's Hip-Hop. I want to pursue a career in Music Production, Jazz-Funk Musician and Film Director (and eventually own my own independent record label), but I want to first establish myself a well-know producer/musician.
What I am thinking of is to have a mass collection of LP's (because I really love the analog sound of LP's and that is where all good music comes from) that I could study music from and buy instruments and equipment and such. Then practice really well to get good before I go to college to study Audio Engineering and get my Bachelor's in it and also study Jazz music. I want to get closer to music artists who may need someone to produce for them, and I eventually end up on an album with my name on it as producer and have others looking for my great production. What do you think?
I am all for your plan and it sounds almost perfect. But in my opinion there is one big flaw in this plan.
Do not delay your University studies in music until you feel you are good enough. Practice while you study, do not delay your studies at college.
Good luck!

Stock Nyc Today What constitutes "being helped" at a retail store?
I work at a retail store in NYC that tracks the sales of its employees. We are not on commission, but our sales determine raises, promotions, etc. I work both on the sales floor and at the register, and see sales associates running around, doing stock checks, finding sizes, etc for customers all day, however when the ultimate question is asked, "Did anyone help you today?" The answer is, 90% of the time, No. WHAT does the average customer think that question means? What does a person have to do to be considered helpful?! It baffles me.
If a sales person was to approach me, rather than me going to them, help me check for a different size, perhaps call different branches or suggest further info/help etc, that would certainly constiute as "being helped".

Can Speakers be replaced with better aftermarket units?
Hi fellow Z3ers
Ok. I've been lurking in the background for a while absorbing knowledge while I hunted down my own Z. Today day I finally brought it home '97 1.9 Black with Tan top 40K 5sp.
They radio has been replaced. Owner gave me the original as well. But the speakers are horrible. Its like they're only good for listening to news, talk radio, and ball games. I need more than that.
Has anyone upgraded the stock speakers with better quality aftermarket units that fit inside the allotted space?
Also will only the BMW CD changer work with exsisting wiring set up? I prefer a 10 to 12cd changer. Or maybe its time to get an ipod.
First things first--I've got my Z! What a beautiful day its been!

Find an aftermarket unit that has an Ipod integration kit (not just an aux input). That way you can just throw the Ipod in your glove box and control it from your head unit.
