Sample Pack Reason My blood pressure drops before donating blood, what caused this?
It happens after the nurse took a pint of my blood for the blood type. A few seconds later (while she was still reading my blood pressure) I feel a little out of breath and my vision was a bit blurry. Like I'm about to faint. Just for a few seconds too then I'm fine, I think it's after she told me I can't donate blood in that condition I suspect. lol. But why is this anyway? I just didn't expect myself to be like that! I've never been afraid of blood. I've never donated blood though. But I do admit I wasn't comfortable with the thought of having a big pack of blood taken out of me, that's one of the reason I'm doing that anyway. But I've done many other things that I'm afraid of to overcome the fear I have, and this never happen. So what causes this? Do I have a phobia of giving blood or something? Can't be because of that blood sample right... I've bleed more than that!
It's BEFORE the donating.. so I suspect it's psychological. lol
Yep, it's most likely psychological. My friend is like that. If he needs a shot or has to have a blood lab sample, he just about passes out every time. Just walking towards him with a needle will do it for him! lol! What he has is called Trypanophobia. Go here for more information:
I think it is related to a flight/fight response that is out of your control without some behav. modification work (which is basically what you are doing).. I believe it is related to your body letting out a squirt of adrenaline that causes a drop in heart rate and blood pressure, ergo dizziness, etc.
p.s. we have him lie down before the procedure (shot/blood withdrawl) so he won't fall over, and have juice ready for when it is over. Adrenaline uses up your available sugar in your bloodstream, so replenishing that quickly by drinking juice or having hard candy in your mouth may help your condition.
Leads Bass Who was the first bass playing vocalist?
and also (if this can be answered) what was the first song paul mccartney sang lead vocals?
I'm doing a music project on lead singing bass players, so if you have any other information, including bassist/vocalists from your favourite bands, that would help alot!
I don't know about the Paul McCartney question, but the lead vocalist of Rush (Geddy Lee) is also the band's bassist.
Well, I have a lead guitar but I want to play bass. To be honest, I don't have enough money to buy a bass guitar at the moment and I don't feel like selling my lead guitar. I wondered if I can in someway play bass on my lead guitar?
Thanks for you awnsers!
Smaller neck, smaller frets, smaller strings. Unable to effectively pluck with fingers, is an octave higher etc etc basically no you won't be able to effectively do-so, you can learn how to play lower notes on the guitar rhythmically & add lead over it that in itself is a skill but to play it like a bass with the purpose of it being a bass...not a chance.
& a ''lead guitar'' doesnt exist its a term used to describe the guitarist who plays solos/fills over the rhythm in the band, lead guitar is like saying '' lead bass guitar'' (funk) i wouldn't say that my actual bass guitar is a ''lead bass guitar'' that would be my role in the band not the instrument itself.
