Can I run mac os 10.5.6 and 10.5.4 on the same HD?

I need to run iLife09 to create a digital portfolio for school which requires OS 10.5.6 but I also need to run Pro Tools LE which caps at OS 10.5.4. Is there a way to run them separate from each other on my laptop? And if so, how do I do it?

You can run Mac OS off an external USB/firewire disk.
