Motu Ultralite
Whats the best audio interface for a home studio?
I'm trying to start my own little home studio but dont know whats the best but not too expensive. I was looking at the MOTU Ultralite-mK3 Hybrid. I've also looked at the Apogee Duet 2 do you think those are good? and which would you prefer?
They're both tremendous interfaces. You certainly won't need to worry about upgrading for a very long time with either one. They will both do just about anything you need - they might even be a little excessive, to be honest.
If I was going to buy either one, it would have to be the Apogee Duet 2. A lot of friends have complimented its performance very highly and there's no denying....it looks damn sexy. I doubt I would ever spend that much money on an interface though.
Make sure you get a decent pair of monitors too. You won't really be doing either one of these justice with crappy speakers. Too often, people go crazy for soundcards and forget that they only sound as good as the monitors that the sound comes through.

I hope your problem was rectified. But i always had this question, Ok talking about your ultralite with builtin Cuemix, DOES that mean even if i run the ultralite using my Netbook (for level control), it will give me No Latency with smooth audio?
