What backup drive is better for a MacBook Pro?
When I get my MacBook Pro in February I'm going to also buy an external hard drive to back-up my files. I want to know which backup drive is better:
Western Digital My Passport Studio 320 GB. $179.99 ($149.95 on the Apple Online Store). Firewire 400/800/USB 2.0.
vs.
G-Tech G-DRIVE mini 250 GB. $149.95. Firewire 400/USB 2.0.
Thanks.
The WD Passport, for sure. I like WD fixed disks, and like many, think they've got the best reliability at the moment. Also, both it and the Macbook Pro have FireWire 800, letting you shuttle data faster than with USB. But, the drive probably costs less on Newegg, and by February, 500GB 2.5" units may make more sense.

Lg Rumor USB and Memory card?
I have an LG Rumor, and I don't have a lot of money. So i was wondering, since my computer has slots for memory cards (SD/Mini MMC/RS/Plus/Mobile MS/PRO/Duo/ PRO Duo is what it says on the front) do i need to buy a USB AND a memory card to put ringtones onto my phone? and to save pictures from my phone?
AND WHAT MEMORY CARD SHOULD I BUY?
or can i save 20 bucks.
SD MEMEORY CARD , from KINGSTON .
it's cheap, and works well .
since you have slots for memoery card , then your not gonna need a MEMORY CARD READER , so i think youre good to go .
