cubase essential 5 mixdown trouble?

i'm having trouble mixing down my songs on cubase essential 5. My song is 3:30 seconds long, consists of several midi tracks and several audio tracks. i'm trying to mix it down to mpeg layer 3 file (mp3) but once it gets to 100% it crashes and i get the error: cubase essential 5 has stopped working, or it freezes and says not responding.

I've tried mixing it down as other file types... this doesn't work either

some helpful information might be that im using sound-fonts that use up a lot of CPU and this might cause it to crash but i doubt that.

my system is an Intel pentium dual cpu with 2gb's of ram (windows vista 32bit) and im using an m-audio fast track usb mic recording interface.

Will Windows Vista easilly support.....?

All of my current programmes such as Cubase SX3, Soundforge, Logic Audio and Ableton Live?

Im sure it will I just wondered!

If you have any problems you could go into the program executable, and in properties change the association to run with Windows XP

Windows XP has that ability for programs tht were for different O.S. to be changes toprevious operating systems, so Im assuiming Vista should as well
