Does xp mode really work ? should i pay the 85 dollars for the upgrade?
My son uses cubase sx3 and he has it running on a desktop running xp service pack 3 it runs fine.
but he just ordered a laptop and it does not have windows 7 pro it is coming with home premium (and home premium does not have xp mode)
he would have to buy a anytime upgrade ,so is it worth me giving him the money to do this upgrade or will cubase run fine without xp mode ,as i understand on the box it only says it supports vista and xp ! so let me know.
Yes it works very well and safe.
just make sure your CPU'S virtualization ready and you have at least 3gb of ram for everything to work seamlessly.
Also do note that a fast processor, at least a dual core 2.4ghz would do.
