How do a make my own MIDI program?
I know how to program
What I don't know is how to access the midi part of the sound card
that doesn't help
i use C++ and windows

Have you used the Windows API functions before?
If you haven't done so already, I recommend that you download the Windows R2 Platform SDK from Microsoft's web site because you'll need a reference on the MIDI functions. The information is also on Microsoft's web site in the MSDN section, but it's faster to navigate through the information if you have the help files on your computer.
There are no programming tutorials for MIDI programming in the SDK, but you should be able to figure out how to use the functions by yourself. Microsoft's web site may also have some example code.

If you just want to play MIDI files, then you can use the MCI functions like mciSendString() and mciSendCommand().
If you're using the Microsoft MFC framework, then you'll have to look through the MFC function reference to find which multimedia classes are available. (I don't program with MFC.)

Recommend me a computer sound card around $100.00 for use with midi keyboard? Software too.?
I have about $100.00 to spend on a professional sound card that will let me hook up my piano/keyboard to it so I can then playback music from my keyboard into the computer's software. I need a sound card that will produce high quality instrument sounds. A flute for example would really sound like a flute! If I were to record it to an mp3 no one could really tell it was a computer that did the flute sound instead of a real person.
Also I need you to recommend me some really good software to use. I'm making music for a computer game.
There is no price tag on the software though as the company will buy it for me. But the sound card I have to buy myself and I only have $100.00

I think your suggestion is completely sound Zac, it was really Bitscape's comments:
'Now back to clicking ads so Zac can afford some new hardware' and 'one ad at a time'
that I could see someone buggin out over (granted most people don't know much about this advertising crap, so no biggie Bitscape). I only mentioned as I had a bit of trouble at my old company – never meant to wig anyone out!
Apparently 50% of all ad clicks are done so for other purposes beyond 'real people checking out real ads for real purposes', which begs the question: is google really inept at stopping click fraud, or do they just want to appear as though they are taking moves to tackle it (those algorithms sound mighty fine) whilst making sure they do absolutely nothing at all?
Hmm. I think I'll raise this at the next team meeting…
